John Puckering
has “lived” heavy construction
for more than 20 years while holding key management responsibilities
within the industry. In his current position, he oversees DCL's
field employees as well as an experienced administrative staff based
in the company's Fort McMurray headquarters. He has managed projects
valued up to half a billion dollars, notably Suncor's Steepbank
Mine Project where he was senior project manager (1994-99). From
1984 to 1994, he served as a project supervisor with Seaway Project
Management Ltd. in Calgary. With firms such as Conearth Inc., Krause
Enterprises Ltd. and North Star Construction Ltd., John has contributed
to a wide variety of mining, road and building projects in Western
Canada, Ontario and Mexico.
Working on projects
ranging from road and municipal infrastructure to site preparation
for resource and commercial construction, John has been exposed
to all facets of equipment selection, operations and maintenance.
His field experience is backed by training in construction law,
civil engineering and surveying. John's well-developed skills in
planning, cost tracking, scheduling and estimating help ensure value
for money spent.
